Thank God cinema as a whole decided to move away from having a full song worth of introduction. Immediately dates the film in the worst possible way.

Far too long, Marissa Tomei was brilliant.

Watched this two days ago and that's genuinely all I remember. Total nothing film.

Genuinely caught off guard by this. Expected it to be your usual Scottish fare, grim, dark and mostly depressing however it just wasn't.

Maybe it's because it's a Scottish film with Scottish actors filmed in Scotland but it feels instantly relatable even if you've jot personally been in those situations.
Everyone knows someone who knew a guy related to a headcase like Fido, underage drinking, raves, dance music. None of it uniquely Scottish but somehow it does feel particular to…

    Just plain boring.

Maybe a controversial opinion on this film, but it's just bland. A very western take on a very real tragedy.

I went into this with high expectations, expecting to actually learn something about the history of Cambodia and its people during the time period, but I didn't. Its just so utterly muted and dull.

Could 100% do without Sydney and the American side of things. Yes it's based on true events but I just found it impossible…

Al Pachino can't run, cute dog, cool aesthetic.

Seriously, there's not much else to say. An absolute mess of a film which just feels like random shots that have been stitched together to make a somewhat (and I use that very lightly) coherent plot. At no point is it engaging, none of the characters are ever relateable to the viewer, so many random time jumps and characters pop in and out of the story constantly.

Becomes very repetitive very quickly, I spent most of the last hour and a half checking how long was left. Wouldn't recommend this film to my worst enemy.
