  The Harry Potter movies have been my MCAT catharsis. This one is so far the most disappointing to me. I just didn't really feel the emotional moments in this one. First one where I haven't cried (low bar). I know none of the characters are ever really fleshed out in any of the movies, but this one by far is the most egregious in this regard. I hope the later ones don't suffer from the same lack of emotionality.

  The high ratings on this movie confuse me. I think I can see where a quirky-trippy-absurdist-gore-horror-comedy movie enjoyer type might like this, but I’ll admit it’s never been my vibe.

  I think even when you’re creating an absurdist black comedy, you have to set some roots down somewhere. This film has a cacophonous plot driven by a character whose motives crumble apart beyond “youth is beauty” or whatever. The dialogue is annoying and repetitive, like I know what’s going on…

  This movie was a blast! Glad I watched with friends. Made me tear up a couple times but that’s because I am a very easy crier.
  Wish it was critical of girlboss feminism instead of playing into it. Women when a bad speech wakes them up from the spell of patriarchy 😍
