  he's just a funny guy. there's very little in this special that doesn't hit, though sometimes the sexism in chappelle's routine isn't in service of a punchline as much as it is a way for him to complain, which i'm never a fan of in comedy. still, this is one of the best standup specials ever and if you watch it you will completely understand why he became renowned as one of the best comedians of all-time
