The Dolby auditorium here is #17.
    I sat in seat G17.
The stars had aligned for a great moviegoing experience.

And I was not disappointed. The movie is fantastic. Robert Pattinson continues to prove his range - I love when he gets extra weird. Naomi Ackie is so very good here - a true scene stealer.

Kind of reminded me of when the Coen Bros. make their farcical, broader (though still weird) comedies, and somehow people see those films as…

It’s really too bad they had to spoil the first reveal of this in the advertising. I had a blast with this one, even going in knowing about some spoilery stuff.

Wow. Engrossing and off-putting at the same time. I cannot stop thinking about this incredible film. It is gorgeous, romantic, inspiring, bittersweet, and damned powerful. It also features some of the best use of music I’ve seen in a film. Music is purposefully scarce throughout the picture, and you’ll understand why once you see it. The final scene is breathtaking. This is one of the very best movies of last year.

Edit: this was the last film I saw in the cinema prior to the pandemic shutdown. At least it was a magnificent movie to go out on. Also glad it was at an Alamo Drafthouse and not an inferior chain. Ha
