And I was not disappointed. The movie is fantastic. Robert Pattinson continues to prove his range - I love when he gets extra weird. Naomi Ackie is so very good here - a true scene stealer.

Wow. Engrossing and off-putting at the same time. It’s slightly too long and the ending was inevitable (though more happens than I assumed would) but overall this is a well-made and disturbing film. I honestly considered checking out of this one early into it because I found the main character to be grating but I assume you’re supposed to. You think you’re watching a somewhat typical descent into insanity but the film is not exactly what one would expect from…
I cannot stop thinking about this incredible film. It is gorgeous, romantic, inspiring, bittersweet, and damned powerful. It also features some of the best use of music I’ve seen in a film. Music is purposefully scarce throughout the picture, and you’ll understand why once you see it. The final scene is breathtaking. This is one of the very best movies of last year.
Edit: this was the last film I saw in the cinema prior to the pandemic shutdown. At least it was a magnificent movie to go out on. Also glad it was at an Alamo Drafthouse and not an inferior chain. Ha
