Favorite rom-com.

A really entertaining spy whodunit that kept me intrigued and never became too serious. I love that this movie released in theaters instead of straight-to-streaming.

I’m still processing this one. These characters meet by sheer chance, and are drawn to each other beyond their savior/disciple dynamic. The scoundrel pulled into the world of this cult, put to work appropriately. Did Dodd believe Freddie could be saved or is that beside the point? One thing’s for sure, Philip Seymour Hoffman is mesmerizing.

1 million stars for the soundtrack

This movie has it all: mythology, music, dancing, fx, animation and roller skating. If you ignore the dialogue and watch this movie like an extended music video, a time capsule from 1980, it’s incredible. Actually, no “ifs.” It’s incredible.
