Another beautiful August Wilson adaptation. I’m so glad Denzel Washington introduced me to Fences.
This was my favourite acting from JDW, and the direction of Malcolm was quite good. I look forward to seeing more of both of their work. Denzel’s children and Robert Irwin are the only nepo babies I don’t hate.

All I think of when I see Margaret Qualley is that Tarantino close up of her dirty feet in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood; that gives me the ick more than anything else that is depicted in this film, except for that gross man eating shrimp.
Demi Moore has still got it (I haven’t seen anything else she’s been in).

NYE Preview at Classic Rooftop
I found this pretty unremarkable. A boilerplate biopic that followed a linear plot and felt pretty flat overall. The only thing I knew about Priscilla was that she was very young when she met Elvis and their relationship was volatile at times. Still the only thing I know about Priscilla.
Wardrobe was my favourite part of the film. At times, the loud slurring commentary provided by the two drunk women seated next to us was more coherent than Jacob Elordi’s Elvis.
