it's a film about high school kids coming together to form a band (one of my favourite genres) but it is also an amalgamation of everything that's beautiful about youth. the nostalgic string of this coming of age tale had me convinced i encountered a similar, exuberant high school experience as them. while that may be a false memory i would gladly allow the tunes and shenanigans of The Rocking Horsemen to rewrite my past and persuade me to cherish the tender moments from the departed era of my life.
