for such lush and textured visuals and sounds my god could this have any less going on as a story. today i have fucked around and found out the extent to which style (which there was a lot of) cannot make up for lack of substance. gratingly drab, unbelievable and irritating characters with no real purpose or development were painfully wasted on such a gorgeous grainy film stock palette and practical effects. man children obsessed with the mothers taking drugs and having some poor girl around for them to fuck at their leisure to imply narrative depth is maddening in 2024 it’s time to grow up.
