  GoldenEye 1995

  I grew up with the Brosnan bond films in the 90s. This was the first Bond I ever saw. So it's strange to revisit this and realize that Craig is now my mind's eye version of the character and Pierce feels so strange.

  He's charming and more quippy but I miss the brutality that Craig brings.

  That all being said, the movie is fun. The opening sequence is excellent and the tank chase is a blast. Great new addition to the bad guy secret lair lore too. I would very much like to be squeezed to death by Onatopp please and thank you.

  I finally understand why I've heard Everybody Wants Some!! Is the spiritual sequel to this. What a fun chill, weird movie. Wooderson is such a creep!

  A beautiful and dark tale highlighting the necessity of community, kindness, and socialism as a beacon of light against the cruel dark indifferent evil of capitalism that has driven many people to suicide.

  There are few greater stressors than financial trouble and so many folks value themselves at a dollar number. But each person is priceless.

  A nearly perfect adventure film, right up there with Curse of the Black Pearl for me. Rick and Evie, man do they sizzle. Weiss is so stunning in this and matched at every step by Fraser.

  They don't make em like this anymore.
