I honestly liked the first hour quite a bit and they do some fun stuff with the premise but man does the ending suck. I can't say enough how much that ending missed for me. There's some genuinely funny stuff and I like Jack Quaid in this a lot but the marketing ruined the first 2/3s and the writing ruined the final third.

GoldenEye 1995
I grew up with the Brosnan bond films in the 90s. This was the first Bond I ever saw. So it's strange to revisit this and realize that Craig is now my mind's eye version of the character and Pierce feels so strange.
He's charming and more quippy but I miss the brutality that Craig brings.
That all being said, the movie is fun. The opening sequence is excellent and the tank chase is a blast. Great new addition to the bad guy secret lair lore too. I would very much like to be squeezed to death by Onatopp please and thank you.
