I feel alright now.
Back in like 2018/19ish I volunteered at a hospital neighboring my high school as a part of my medical course. It was a great experience, I got to see the inner workings of the hospital for the first time and do things I never would have done. One time, a classmate and I were chosen to watch an intestinal surgery and after waiting in the room for about an hour, watching the surgeons rummage around this…

Well, that’s Uncle Sam for you baby…
…money to burn.
Incredibly tragic and captivating genre blend that I was just straight soaking in, I can’t believe I don’t hear this movie talked about more! There’s some great gore in here that really caught me off guard, especially Michael Imperioli’s scene! I haven’t seen Menace II Society yet, but it’s shot all the way to the top of my watchlist after seeing this.
The film feels dreamy, floating between the milestones…
I'll tell you what.
Go in the stall, say five Hail Marys, wipe your ass, and you and God can call it even.
This is a standout in Snyder’s filmography for sure, I went in kind of expecting his usual obtrusive schlocky style but the reasonable restraint and more engaging approach made it so much fun. I’m an insect who dreamt he was a man and loved it
I love this film so much, this was the second Cronenberg I ever watched (first being The Brood) and it’s still fuckin disgusting! This is a perfect movie to me— tragic, visceral, and sensual. This also has some of the best performances of his older stuff, Goldblum and Davis (and Getz too!) just kill it here. The whole film from top to bottom feels so effortlessly passionate, it’s just spectacular.
No, I wasn’t crying at a fly/human/metal hybrid getting shot in the head what do you meaaann???
…I thought you might be worried… about the security… of your shit…
Opportunistic, prideful, paranoid— all traits of a true red, white and blue-blooded American! This wonderful anti-spy farce from the Coen Bros hilariously captures the self-destructive hubris of Americans through the unimportant and unnecessary whirlwind caused by simple carelessness.
I really loved this! I knew I would anyway, but I did not expect this to be so funny. I think I thought it’d be a bit more political and…
Shit man, that sucks…
The only thing this is missing is someone running head first into a pan and leaving a dent in the shape of their face!
Or someone running off a cliff and staying in the air for a few seconds before falling…
It’s incredibly cool to see how Perkins is growing as a director. I remember watching Blackcoat’s Daughter and immediately falling in love with his style but he’s definitely grown into it, this time also flexing…
