When Captain America: Civil War came out I was fifteen and I was all the way hyped up. I've probably never been as excited for a movie as I was for that one at that time. Phase IV 1974
Sick as hell. Super bleak in a little bit of a silly way, but just amazingly directed. Bass's visual style, so simple and bold, translates really well to the ultra close-up ant sequences. I'm thinking of the image of the ant crawling down the coil or the ant silhouettes against the girl's face or against the desert. Shouts out to Director of Photography, Dick Bush.
