This film has such good gags, a great score and voice cast, and an airtight script. As a Looney Tunes fanatic, this filmed NAILED the tone of the OG shorts. A thoroughly delightful experience for the five people in the movie theater with me…

A Real Pain 2024
Sure it’s “Oscar bait-y” as all hell, but my god I loved this movie. The dialogue is hilarious and devastating, the piano score is chilling, and I become a bigger and bigger fan of Kieran Culkin and Jesse Eisenberg every time I see them. Culkin might be my current favorite actor tbh.
Funny that I watched this on a plane when the last movie I watched on a plane was “Planes, Trains, and Automobiles” when this is kind of just like the sadder version of that movie.
A terrific outing from Eisenberg, want to see more of what he directs and writes.
