The Final Exit of the Disciples of Ascensia 2019
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
This is a very human film, perhaps one of the most human films that I've ever seen. I can feel that melancholy built from a cloying for human connection. I spent the entire 19 minute run-time in a perpetual stun-lock from the brilliant little details I could see from frame-to-frame. There was a dynamism, especially in the facial features, that felt unreal in something of this scope.

First things first. I understand the script is sparse in terms of direction, with much of it being a cavalcade of improvised lines and attempts at "bad-ass" one-liners. I've considered this argument with significant care, but have YOU considered that the script fucks hard and subtlety isn't always vital to making something sophisticated? Grow some heart, become less afraid of emotions, and fight me with your bare hands coward.
For the part everyone agrees on. The visuals. Every visual element…
