Stylish thriller that serves as an acting challenge between Anne Hathaway and Jessica Chastain as the two Oscar winners face off in a Hitchcockian family drama set in the early 1960s. Despite its impressive acting and staging, it never really quite meets up to its potential, although it certainly is worth an evening watch as it streams on Hulu.

Creepy film about creeping roots and mushrooms and spores and other things in the forest that will make me want to continue my Covid in-house quarantine a little longer. South African horror film which I watched to wrap up Day One of the virtual SXSW festival. Well-done, but I have no idea what its last 20 minutes told me was the reason all the weird stuff was happening. Horror fans might give it an extra star.
