I love Led Zeppelin. Saw this in full IMAX. I loved it as a fan. It was inspiring. I loved how it focused on the early critical period. There were some new insights about the band. But the most exciting part was watching their live performances. Which unfortunately were often edited in a… unique way. Like I get that there may have been limited footage of some performances, buuuuut as a musician and filmmaker I couldn’t help but imagine better…

I have a long review. This is a placeholder. There are a lot of little random things that helped me enjoy this film a bit more than I should have, I think. Like having watched Metropolis as a highschooler, having an architect brother and dad (who also laugh at the pretension within the trade), loving farce and dreamlike absurdity.
