Loses half a star for not incorporating anything off of Brat. Feels like missed opportunity.

    (Genuinely though, perfect movie. Loved)

Excellent movie that I will probably not watch again for 20 years. I had mixed feelings on the second half, but ultimately think the movie conveyed the reality of the American immigrant experience. Were some metaphors too on the nose? Perhaps Oscar-baiting? Also yes. But all in all, beautiful cinematography. Beautiful score. Amazing performances by Adrien Brody and Felicity Jones. Joe Alwyn also played rich asshole well, however I had a hard time not thinking that’s Taylor Swifts ex-boyfriend every time he came on screen.
