  I think this film was biting off more than it could chew and suffered due to constant shifts in tone and having pacing that went everywhere you could imagine, leaving a mediocare film. I did have some fun with it, but I definitely preferred the simpler, more down-to-earth plots of the prior films.

  Wow this film blew me away.
  After having not watched it for well over a decade and my memory of it being patchy at best it still holds up incredibly well in every aspect: its well paced, its animation is punchy and hilarious, its characters are so well written into the story and the story itself is simple but very effective on top of having a lot of unintrusive meta elements and reoccuring gags that work so well with the tone of the film.
  I'd absolutely recommend this in a heartbeat for anyone because of how humourous and well animated it is.

  A beautiful swan song by Dreamworks, through and through.
  Having just come out of the cinema, I cannot collect my thoughts properly because of how much it played with my emotions, I need a breather before I make a more detailed review but I'm just gobsmacked at how brilliant this film is.
  100% a contender for the best Dreamworks film ever.
