  <쿼텟> 과 <괴물>을 너무 사랑하는 1인으로서 it didn’t quite live up to that level of awe
  But Sakamoto Yuji delivered a heartfelt 멜로영화 with the 향기 of his special talent for bringing out something so special from something so ordinary
  영화관에서 숨막힐 정도로 펑펑 울어본 건 정말 오랜만인 것 같다 
  특히 커피 위 빵 부스러기, 또 티비가 고장 났어 문자 대사는 영원히 잊지 못 할 듯
  뻔한 로맨스 영화 설정임에도 마음에 와닿는 것은 <쿼텟>과 <괴물>을 탄생시킨 천재의 필력 덕분
  캐스팅도 너무 좋았다 
  일본 여름 로맨스물은 언제나 정답

  Okay, perhaps objectively, from filmmaking standards, this wasn’t the best movie ever. The story felt a bit too episodic with no clear coherent start middle and end, I have no idea why the brother narrated the first third and the protagonist the last, story did feel a bit bland and cheesy at times and so did the camerawork, okay I get it.
  But it was one of the most heartwarming and happiest movies I’ve watched this year. So wholesome and made me feel so good. And I frankly think that’s sometimes good enough to make a good movie

  Is orientalism acceptable if the west is the “bad guys”

  The doom began to creep in when there was no explanation for what the USA is called now in this futuristic world (seems to be just USA and LAX is still LAX)
  yet Asia is now Pan-Asia oops I mean new Asia

  And in this new Asia for some reason every television material and even the chyron for some reason uses Japanese (even the fucking credits have Japanese even though…
