  The third act didn’t really live up to the perfect set up (the editing choices in that first third of the story was *chefs kiss* — the ship exploding? The couple’s scenes intercutting?) and it did feel a little bit too much too long at times but I genuinely don’t think any other filmmaker could make such a timely yet entertaining film

  Okay, perhaps objectively, from filmmaking standards, this wasn’t the best movie ever. The story felt a bit too episodic with no clear coherent start middle and end, I have no idea why the brother narrated the first third and the protagonist the last, story did feel a bit bland and cheesy at times and so did the camerawork, okay I get it.
  But it was one of the most heartwarming and happiest movies I’ve watched this year. So wholesome and made me feel so good. And I frankly think that’s sometimes good enough to make a good movie

  The doom began to creep in when there was no explanation for what the USA is called now in this futuristic world (seems to be just USA and LAX is still LAX)
  yet Asia is now Pan-Asia oops I mean new Asia
