Delta and the Bannerman is generally speaking a silly forgettable episode, that has a very confusing plot.
That being said it’s short length and outrageously brutal villain, Gavrok, makes it a fun time. The juxtaposition of happy holiday homemakers and the spectacle of the brutally dark villain gunning people down is honestly a spectacle unlike anything I’ve seen elsewhere.
There’s definitely some lost commentary of beauty vs evil, but forget that. Just watch the crazy scenes of beloved family comedian Ken Dodd getting horrifyingly shot in the back.
Just laugh at the silly stuff and enjoy it for what it is.
