The Finisher: Jasmin Paris and the Barkley Marathons 2025
It's been over a year and the footage of Jasmin sprinting to and then slumping over that yellow gate with mere seconds left on the clock still brings tears to my eyes. Every time.
This is a really nice little doc with a good selection of talking heads, race footage and some interesting little animations. Jasmin comes across as incredibly humble even though she is mentally and physically basically a superhuman.

Pretty much the same as its predecessor in its glorification of violence, on-the-nose script, ridiculous comedy villains and general lack of nuance in every department. A remarkable achievement. The only criticism I can come up with for this Connemara Irish kung-fu Beamish movie is that most of the cast appear to be from anywhere but the west of Ireland.
