The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar 2023
What a masterpiece. Haven’t watched a film where you feel as if you’re reading the novel yourself and Wes does an amazing job at that. As per usual, great cast with great cinematography. It was only right he used Ben Kingsley but for me Dev Patel was the real star here who was not only hilarious but also super engaging.
Wes is the only director stylistically who fits everything about what Roald Dahl is and was so I’m glad they let him use his creative freedom to express himself on this and I think the ones to follow will do the same.
