baumbach’s best. icy and ridiculous. a room full of broken people doing the act of love. probably one of the funniest movies I’ve seen. nicole and jennifer's characters are so perfectly opposed. the scenes are jagged and the transitions between them abrupt. the dialogue is so him. people speaking with teeth bared but lips covering and sometimes with a smile. so well paced. the last scene of nicole running to the bus at the end will always have me. so glad that this movie exists. captures a type of parenthood and family ill never understand and im glad i cant.
