  This could have been very, very dumb or an extremely clever meta film, and it falls somewhere between those two stools. What it is is is very entertaining, more-so if you like Nic Cage (and if you don’t then why are you even watching it?).

  DC’s animated outings are almost always worth watching, and Kamandi: the Last Boy on Earth - which comes as an extra on the Justice Society: World War II BluRay - is part of the consistently-great DC Showcase series, which shines a light on the company’s less well-known properties.

  With animation that does a great job of capturing the energy and spirit of The King’s 1970s comic book beautifully, Kamandi is nothing less than a Jack Kirby comic brought to life.
