A cow is catapulted through a church and is ok, a horse drawn carriage explodes for absolutely no reason, the accents are enough to warrant a second Cold War, Hugh Jackman is the hottest he’s ever been, and Kate Beckinsale backflips in Louboutins the whole movie but then dies from sitting on a couch too hard. This movie is a fucking masterpiece and anyone who says otherwise is a coward.

Brideshead Revisited By the Talented Mr. Ripley - and at least the film is very self-aware of this fact because they certainly didn’t reinvent the wheel with this one. I think they set up a far more interesting story than they ended up telling, but it was a compelling watch. Rosamund Pike, Richard E. Grant and Barry Keoighan are incredible, and the cinematography alone is worth the watch.
