We can see the raw & honesty in Pete’s acting more in Staten Island rather than Big Time Adolescences.
I love how the bonds between him and his-soon-to-be step dad is really ‘just the way it is’. The dads didn’t automatically liking him in all the bad stuff. So they can open how they’re truly feel to another.

The perfect fit of coming of age movies. Kids ade suppose to be have fun but also be accountable from their action.
One thing that bothered me, is the fact that the kids didn’t ‘have fun’ by his own willing. The third party—Zeke, is pretty much hold a control over his action. If you’re a teenager and wanna have fun it’s okay. If you wanna have an experience that you’re really curious about, go ahead. Take your own risks. But only if you’re the one who wanted to. Not just because other people said it’s gonna be cool/edgy/awesome.
