The Deliverance 2024
The pacing is really good and the family feels real – it’s based on true events. You learn a lot about the grandmother and mother without being spoiled, which makes for compelling viewing. It hooks you right from the beginning. Once the special effects come in it can seem a tad jarring, and I value the use of less to make those scenes much more palatable and enjoyable.

The Nun II 2023
Just a fun film to watch. Nothing deep, but the acting and some of the shots were great. I love The Conjuring universe, and this instalment fits right in. Just good old fun without any jump scares. The lore could have been much more interesting if it was developed far better though, rather than hoping to rely on audience jumps and whatnot. More storey less unnecessary shock value for the sake of it.
