much like parasite, this film offers interesting commentary but refuses to go beyond the surface level of it. while satirical and clever at times, it mostly relies on strong acting performances. bong joon ho resorts to implementing cheap narrative tricks to withhold information from the viewer, using them for grand reveals that carry no emotional weight. all in all, mickey 17 would benefit from being stretched into a limited series and employing more people to work on the script. cute creatures though
