There's Still Tomorrow 2023
Angelika's surprise screening was the perfect format to watch this movie because I def benefitted from knowing absolutely nothing going into it. Very fresh very sad very fun. Some of the choices didn't work for me (like the American solider), but I appreciate how bold they all were (was NOT expecting Outkast's B.O.B. to be featured in this film).
Will stay tuned for debut director/co-writer/lead actor Paola Cortellesi's future projects

a coming of age movie filmed entirely in the city where i came of age?? my high school on the big screen? i would have loved it even if it sucked, and it absolutely did not!! i laughed and i cried and i laughed again.
sean wang made a film about being a chronically online angsty asian teenager in mid-aughts fremont. so of course i—having been a chronically online angsty asian teenager in mid-aughts fremont—related to it. but for depicting such a specific experience, dìdi does an incredible job capturing the general essence of zillennial adolescence
