  A perfect film. I forgot that for the entire runtime of this movie you feel like your heart is in your mouth. This is going in my letterboxd four favorites as I speak. Oh to be me 5 years ago, watching this while figuring out I was queer. Look at us now!

  This was such a RICH cinematic experience. Real ones know I’m a Dev Patel fangirl and there’s so much inappropriate shit I could say (knife scene for one). But wowwww I was gripped the entire time by a story with such beautiful visual elements, a traumatic yet compelling backstory, and relevant social commentary. I luv u forever Dev!
