    I hate making two extratextual notes in a row (see below) but the fact that this came out the same year as FLOW hurts it, since FLOW covers not dissimilar territory so much more effectively (the second the animals started talking here, I was deflated, and that's like ten minutes into the movie).

    Some things to know about me:

    I am an absolute sucker for this kind of thing, high-tension single-room narratives about journalists making moral decisions in real time (see also: GOOD NIGHT AND GOOD LUCK, SHATTERED GLASS, SPOTLIGHT, et al), and will almost by default add a star to the rating of any film with that setup.

    I love Peter Sarsgaard and could watch him read the phone book and probably still be entertained.
