What a great film. I read recently that Jordan Peele loves working with Daniel Kaluuya partly because he has a “powerful stillness”, and I absolutely agree. He’s got such an interesting way about him, his face says so much whilst he’s clearly a man of few words.
Nope is just fantastic, it felt like it married together so many genres for me. The plot is so smart and really gets you thinking. Watching it really made me feel like I was part of a top secret and privileged crew working on something awesome and important. The western ending was just amazing too, so serendipitous.
Absolutely fantastic. This is close to being a perfect film for me. It’s funny, deep, emotional, heartwarming and somehow doesn’t take itself too seriously. I love it. It’s got a perfect cast too, that have a seemingly genuine chemistry.

I watched this after a day helping my Dad clear out a lot of stuff, I was feeling tired and a little nostalgic. My parents kept saying “god this is depressing”, my response was one of optimism, stating “don’t worry, it’ll have a happy ending”. Whilst the ending was less catastrophic than it could’ve been it was pretty grim for all involved.
I did really enjoy the vfx in this film and am looking forward to watching Corridor Crew talk…
