To the people who claim Jodorowsky films are like dreams... what are you eating before you go to bed?!

Stupid jokes aside I hated this. There's 3 or 4 scenes that I found pretty compelling / cool, and for the rest of it I was bored out of my damn mind. I don't understand the appeal of this dude's films at all and I'm probably going to stop trying. I would rather watch the hallmark channel.

Really loved the performances and the first half, but by the end it felt like they were trying to do too many things and didn't really stick the landing for any of them. I still did enjoy it and think it's worth checking out but could have been better if they focused on either making a thriller or a horror movie. It's hard to explain without spoiling it but the exact mix of elements that they landed on just didn't click with me.

Really great opening sequence and a kind of cool ending, but everything in the middle is so bland, silly and boring... I don't understand this style at all, but I'm so fascinated by how much love some people have for these old Italian horror movies that I'm still compelled to keep trying and watch them and wrap my mind around what the appeal is. For now, still not getting it, but maybe next time it'll click.

I've seen this film at least three times now, and each time I think I've enjoyed it more. It's both an incredible parody and a sincere love letter to schlocky teen horror films. The fact that this movie can be so silly, funny, grisly, and heartfelt at the same time is a testament to how good it is. I will admit it loses some steam in the third act when it leans harder into just trying to play to the genre, but even then it still mostly works for me, and the two thirds before that are some of the funniest stuff I've ever seen.
