Nearly every moment of joy is so intimately laced with bitterness and melancholy. A crushing examination of conviction under pressure, culminating in the ever-recurrent Jewish motif of exile.

Darkest Hour 2017
Intensely British. I definitely laughed at the sidelong Oswald Mosley reference. All of the women wore extremely cute outfits.

Delhi Safari 2012
A very bad children's flick where a parrot attempts to film pornography (???) and a monkey keeps about thirty guns inside his skin. Yes, really. Delhi Safari is a 'film' that was made. The animation is atrocious the characters are banal and the plot almost exists. Watching this film is like watching paint dry except the paint is a monkey that is trying to shoot you. Do. Not. Watch. Delhi. Safari. Please.

Helsreach 2017
There is no anti-war film. The great paradox of war is the greater the horror, the greater the glory. No matter how many innocent civilians you shred, no matter how many screaming infantrymen you melt in a stream of CGI napalm, there will always be a twelve-year-old boy who sees himself, staring from the haunted eyes of a wounded GI as he clutches his rifle. Helsreach is that boy grown up. War is a grim, cynical, absurdist affair. And yet. Still, there are glories to be won.
