Resident Evil: Apocalypse 2004
On nearly every level, this is a bad film. However, this borders on so-bad-its-good quality. I had a blast watching this. It’s over-the-top and cartoony but that’s why it works for me. I don’t care if this is a good or bad adaptation of the games, I just wanted to be entertained and I was.

Honestly? I found it kind of boring. The first half is slow, confusing, and with the exception of one scene, is pretty dull. The second half is generic zombie stuff with the only interesting aspect being the mutations that take place - including the dogs and the finale. Not a strong start in my opinion.

I liked this movie. It tackles a pretty intense subject matter and tastefully tells its story without glorifying the terrorists or being disrespectful to victims. The acting was great - particularly Isabel May & Eli Brown. Isabel carries the film and has great range. Eli Brown knows how to take charge of a scene and put the focus on him. He was a really solid villain.
