The Old Dark House 1932
Awesome movie! I watched it because it came up on a podcast as authentically queer horror from antiquity but ended up enjoying the whole movie quite a bit. Very spooky, good dialogue, a some great physical acting and performances. And love the bizarre family drama like Texas Chainsaw Massacre 40 years prior lol. And super cool story about Elsbeth Dudgeon’s role in this movie!

28 Weeks Later 2007
A lot like Cameron’s Aliens to Scott’s Alien, this is the much more militarized and action-packed sequel, but not quite as good as Aliens. Loses a lot of the panache of the first without Boyle helming it, but still a lot of fun. Also a shame that we see Jeremy Renner now and immediately go “Oh, Marvel” lol.

It definitely seems like per Betty’s requests, the documentary is composed very carefully to shoot around certain things. And you can tell in the interview with the director on the blu-ray that he struggled with figuring out how to tell the story with what Betty could / would give them. I would…
