Underworld: Awakening 2012
Quite colourful, certainly a change after the monochromatic palettes of the first two films. Not necessarily a welcome one, but not necessarily not either. Simply a different look, which keeps things fresh at the very least.
Better action with less cutting than the first two as well, and this is very definitively a positive change. Also has a much stronger sense of mystery, of intrigue.
And while watching all I could really think of was the idea of Theo James … Bond?

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 2015
Centred around the slow deadly walk through the capital to the heart of the beast.
Don’t really feel the desperation that was somewhat present in the book, only a sad tragic resignation to the inevitable.
Until the attack in the tunnels.
With that it leans into the horror in a way that has largely been absent from the movies. There are glimpses of it in the books, but nearly all explicit reference to it has been scrubbed in the films.…Translated from by
