The Tomb of Ligeia 1964
This is looks quite different from Corman's other Poes (excepting Masque) - shot in England with a screenplay by Robert Towne, the tale of a vengeful dead woman is not unfamiliar but Towne manages to layer an unease not found in any other AIP feature - cerebrally creepy

Bonnie and Clyde 1967
Hackman forces his personality to dominate the leads and even he is cut to the quick by the permanently irritating and pathetic (but wonderful) Parsons but all fall to the wonder of simple Michael J Pollad's rat C.W.Moss - has a film's "stars" ever been so undermined by the satellites?
