Valdez Is Coming 1971
this movie is about as "dad has the remote and two hours to kill" as it gets. Pretty paint by numbers western, and unfortunately one of those numbers is on Burt Lancaster's face. Bold move to make the end of the movie be all the characters listing how the movie could have been avoided and then just go to credits.

I really wish this movie had been bad so I could just post "More like Count Snorelok" and call it a day.
Like most of Robert Eggers stuff it was beautifully shot and had fine acting. Leaned a bit too heavy on the "ahh spooky vampire face!" jumpscare for me to love it love it but I'm not gonna pretend I wasn't having fun watching Willem DaFoe smoke opium and torment Aaron Taylor-Johnson, who I've never seen turn in a bad performance. Extra half a star for having Orlok hang dong.
