I’ve been routing for this franchise. Low budget, made out of a love for the genre, and really successful based purely on word of mouth. Really cool. These movies, including this one, are very dumb but they don’t pretend to be more than what they are and they deliver exactly what they promise. This one is way too long and I found myself antsy and kinda bored in the 3rd act. Other than that it’s a ridiculous, over the top good time. Total gross to the point of comedy. Unapologetic horror for horror people.

Gonna give it 3 stars for the great acting by the two leads. Both were really good. Enjoyed most of it even with its post Pulp Fiction style-orama aesthetic. It’s nice to go to a theater and see some style. But what the hell is this movie getting at? The scene with the cops? Halloween season rewatch. It’s still fun. Great rubber suites. Some fun horror. George Wendt. It’s like a more light hearted Evil Dead 2 in that it’s a pretty legit horror movie but meant to be more fun than anything and also gets a little chaotic. A great one for Halloween
