Appreciate the message and general direction, but the pacing was dreadful and I couldn’t stand the wooden acting of the main character.
Man I wish this did something to me. Visually beautiful, and an incredibly strong beginning and ending, but the core just didn’t land at all
The movie is built around the friendship of these two girls, but I swear in this one hour movie they’re actually happily together on screen for like 10 minutes, and it hastily relies on compilations and overly dramatic music to get that point across.
Rushing through their relationship this way just feels kind of cheap. I wish the movie got an extra 30 minutes of them actually bonding together. That way I could’ve actually felt the impact in the third act
