  I don't know why I like this as much as I do. Yes it's a comedy but Steve Coogan kind of brings this beautiful melancholy to everything. He's put himself in this place, where he's incredibly alone, driving people away. The food is beautiful and elaborate, the landscape is in that glum February feeling - desolate moors and gray skies. Coogan, feeling his own career stalling, keeps trying to one-up Brydon, probably because he knows Brydon's already won, in that he has a wife and family he adores.
