Pretty average but I love a disaster movie, especially when they give you a snivelling bad guy to hate. Earns and extra half star because that bad guy is John Malkovich with an indecipherable accent.
They do the classic move of showing us the real people at the end. The guy who scored Kurt Russell playing him had to have been so stoked because he's really more of a Paul Giamatti type.
