I’m a die-hard fan of the classic Looney Tunes shorts, so I never really cared to watch the new iterations, including Space Jam or any of the many straight-to-video holiday specials. But I can definitely appreciate the effort to stick with the original vibe of the shorts and these characters. The story here is pretty batshit crazy, but that’s also what I liked about it. Also impressive that they didn’t have any cheap cameos from other Looney Tines characters.

New in Town 2009
Zellwegger is probably at her hottest in this movie - yes, I wrote that - and that’s honestly the best thing about it. JK Simmons isn’t in it enough and Connick Jr. is pretty bad. Forget about the story, because it’s just a corny rom com. I only watched it because I was at my mother-in-laws and she’s not a film buff. 😉

Kings from Queens: The RUN DMC Story 2024
I was a white teenager (now a white old man) in the Bay Area when Rap music finally hit our local radio airwaves, or at least my own eardrums, in 1984. Run-DMC's "It's Like That" was the very first rap song I had ever heard and from that moment on, I was hooked; Hooked on rap music in general, but especially Run-DMC. I've seen them live on stage five times, bought every album and saw their never-again-to-be-released movie, Tougher Than…
