It is enjoyable to watch the film clips. I watched a lot , but learned little.

Well portrayed dissection of Trump separated families policy and consequences of enactment. It needed more explanation of the change Trump made to better set the scene. And also it needs to explain while it was challenged and defeated in court, no one paid a civil or criminal penalty.

There are many enjoyable elements of the film, plus the satirical social comments, but it is all too much in the end to keep coherent. It is too big for its own good. The set designs and special effects are wonderful, and Mickey is a lovable dope, who knows he is such.

For me its best to look at it from a planetary distance and marvel at the maintenance of humanity in a usually inhuman world(s). Mickey retains his humanity through it all. Bong tells us a human printer cannot conquer a human spirit.

Good adaptation of a good book about The Troubles. There are obvious touches of "Hollywood-ism" but almost every series has that. It treats its subjects and rationales with adult level seriousness. The book intentionally tells a provocative ambivalent story of Jean McConville and that colors this series. I believe in the Republican cause, and almost any public story telling about the time is beneficial.
