    Your Name.

If I woke up in love with some girl, and her name was written on my hand, I simply would not forget it, but maybe I’m built different.

Few movies make me laugh as hard as Palm Springs. No other movie uses the time loop concept (trope? genre? existential nightmare?) as perfectly as this one. The world is a terrible place sometimes, but this movie is a great reminder that we all need to find our own Irvine.

On an unrelated note, if you know any pretty girls who want to do mushrooms in the desert, sit around a campfire hallucinating dinosaurs, and fall in love, please put them in contact with me.

I love watching movies that the people I know love. I feel like I learn so much about them every time I do—and it’s also a great way to figure out which of my friends actually have good taste.

Admittedly, I didn’t connect with Lady Bird the first time I watched it. Maybe I was too focused on the complexities of mother-daughter relationships which I can never truly understand (I’m just a boy, after all). Upon rewatching, I realized this…
