Didn't like this as much as I remembered. It thinks it is cleverer than it is. The dialog is clunky and lacking in subtly and overuses the literary quotes. The trial and prison scenes are boring.

Wavelength 1967
Torture as art. Half star (for some of the concepts and for strawberry fields). No stars for the execution. Forces the viewer to withdraw inward to escape the irritation of the oscillator sweep and the lack of visual context for minutes on end. Felt like I was on a redeye overseas flight in an over-wing seat with nothing to do but stare out the window at the engine, being unable to sleep because of the persistent irritating mechanical noises from the engines, hydraulics and malfunctioning A/C, and the half-heard conversations from the other passengers. If you like that sort of stuff, this was made for you.
