They are the truest form of an artist that can synthesize the human existence into the most relatable, to bring that which rests in the background and jam it into your face and say "this, is what human is". This film is a masterpiece – a term I use in the case that no other phrase could capture my sentiment. The depth of Jimmie and Montgomery as individuals and friends provides a perfect vehicle to experience the themes of defining one’s identity, optimism in the face of a cruel reality, humility, racial reality of modern America, erasing history through gentrification, and breaking out of a box so many find themselves trapped in.

Loved the calling card sequencing throughout the film. It was like play in a sense, each act with distinct set up and payoff. It was a delight to follow the criminal process and loved the acting by all involved. What I most loved was their ability to have the audience feel like they were both in on the con while also constantly being surprised by the events unfolding! Loved it!
