All out extravagant. Watch not for the aliens, but the culture.

Kicking off the first week of October (though, I am a couple days behind) with the classics. It’s been quite a while since my first viewing of The Wolf Man, and I can say nothing much has changed since then. It’s great in the broadest respects of universal monsters, but lacks something integral in the underlying “essence” of the story. Still a classic. And the terrible wolf man stumbling around the grotesquely gnarled trees and heavy show - stage fog pervading the woods, eventually revealing the first act of his horrific transformation, is still the most iconic classic horror image; and it’s cool as hell, too.
